Thailand: Hua Hin

I think it could be a bit redundant to show multiple pictures of lounging on chairs by a pool or walking on a beach so here are the highlights of our last portion of the vacation in Thailand at Hua Hin. Hua Hin is a great place to vacation…beautiful views, delicious food, and great shopping.…

Thailand: Hua Hin, last night with family

Yesterday was very relaxed. It was a nice change from the hustling around. We spent the day by the pool. I got a massage. Kids played.  We had one last night with Pon’s family so we went a little earlier to spend time with them and watch them cook Thai food. Ed, our driver and…

Thailand: Hua Hin

We spent most of yesterday driving to Hua Hin. We arrived about 4pm and relaxed a bit before dinner. Pon’s family including Juan, Juana, Nay, Kent, Jom and a few others rented a bungalow nearby for two nights. They prepared dinner for us and will do the same tonight. It was delicious….the best Thai food…

Thailand: Nakhon Sawan Part 2

We spent the morning visiting Wat (“Temple”) Kiriwong Nakhon Sawan, a Thai Buddhist Temple. It is beautiful and peaceful and you could feel the energy of all the buddhas covered in gold. The views from the top level of the temple were incredible… Thai police stopped to chat and take our photo with them.  We…

Thailand: Nakhon Sawan Part 1

We spent the day visiting Pon’s family where they live about an hour outside of Nakhon Sawan. Nakhon Sawan is a pretty big city and her family lives in a smaller country village called Kaigala (not sure if I spelled that right). We saw many rice fields on the drive… Pon’s sister lives in a…

I had a lovely morning to myself and saw the sunrise over the skyline. When you start your day at 4am, it’s amazing how long a morning can be.  We all headed down to breakfast and then kids swam before our ride to The Grand Palace. Here is the van roof I forgot to show…

Thailand: Bangkok Part 1

We finally made it to Thailand. Getting here was some intense travel…here’s how it went. We all slept hard the night before but Ryder and I woke up and hung out at 4:30am the next day. We stayed in bed for a few hours before getting breakfast. Then we all made our way to the…

Thailand: Layover in Frankfurt, Germany

Our 8 hour flight from Atlanta to Frankfurt went smoothly. I finally got a chance to watch a movie I had been wanting to see, “Savings Mr. Banks”…it was awesome and i of course cried like a baby. Ryder slept for about 3 hours and Rigby struggled to get comfortable in her cramped little spot…
